Many couples will opt for the traditional dinner and drinks on Valentine's Day. That's kind of the standard for the romantic holiday. But then some want a little more from their Valentine's celebration — perhaps someone who wants to score creativity points with their significant other. Luckily for them, South Florida has plenty of interesting options.

Here's a list of Valentine's Day events for couples — and some for singles — including outdoor concerts, rooftop movie screenings, a birdwatching cruise, and a pizza-making class.

Ladies R&B Kickback Concert Valentine's Day Edition

The lineup for this R&B Valentine's show reads like a '90s baby-making playlist. Taking the stage at the James L. Knight Center will be Ginuwine (known best for "Pony"), the Sisqó-led Dru Hill ("How Deep is Your Love"), Shai ("If I Ever Fall in Love") and, the cherry on top, H-Town ("Knockin' Da Boots"). 8 p.m. Friday, February 9, at the James L. Knight Center, Miami; 400 SE Second Ave., 305-416-5970. Tickets cost $60 to $200 via ticketmaster.com.

Valentine's Sangria Tasting and Tour

Fruit & Spice Park wants to give you the full sangria experience. The ethnobotanical garden hosts sangria tours where you can drink three different types of sangrias and learn about the fruity beverage's history and how it's made. Afterward, you can tour Fruit & Spice Park's garden, which is home to more than 500 types of fruits, vegetables, spices, and herbs. 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 10, at Fruit & Spice Park, 24801 SW 187th Ave., Homestead; 305-247-5727; miamidadegov.com. Tickets are $40.

Valentine's Day Lock and Key Singles Party

No need to overthink your icebreakers at this singles party. The format of the event has taken care of that part for you. All women will be assigned a lock, and all men will be assigned a key. Your mission is to find the person whose lock or key corresponds with your lock or key. The point is to interact with the opposite sex in a fun and low-pressure manner. 7 p.m. Saturday, February 10, at Round Up Night Club & Restaurant, 9020 W. State Rd. 84, Davie; lockandkeyevents.com. Tickets cost $29 via eventbrite.com.

Blind Love

Here's how this cake-decorating event works: one person is the blindfolded cake decorator, while the other person guides them with instructions. Nobody is expecting a culinary masterpiece. This isn't The Great British Bake Off. It's an exercise in communication and trust, but really, the goal should be to have fun and laugh. 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, February 11, at Fiesta Cake Studio, 5920 Johnson St., Hollywood; 954-616-1100; fiestacake.com. Tickets cost $75 per couple via eventbrite.com
